The inaugural Asian Performing Arts Festival was held in Tokyo in 2002. Following this, the festival was held in Delhi in 2003, Hanoi in 2004, Taipei in 2006, Manila in 2007, Seoul in 2008, and now it will be returning to Tokyo for the first time in 7 years!
A multicultural Asian landscape will make its appearance in Ikebukuro.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space will be the stage for Asian Performing Arts. An exciting variety of performances await you such as productions created through the collaboration of Japanese artists sent to the Asian cities, showcase performances by young acting troupes from Tokyo, and one-man performances focusing on the theme of Asian ethnic food. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the wonderful world of Asian performance.
